Andy Cohen talks and signs at Mohegan Sun

Published June 20. 2013 4:00AM

In his book, Andy Cohen recalls meeting Andy Warhol when he first moved to New York City.

Cohen, the peppy evil genius who created the "Real Housewives" franchise on Bravo, has said that he likes to think that, if Warhol were still alive, he'd be painting the Housewives.

Well, Warhol did coin the notion of 15 minutes of fame, and the "Housewives" are the epitome of that.

Cohen, of course, has gone beyond being a behind-the-scenes TV exec to becoming an on-camera figure. He hosts "Watch What Happens Live." And his book "Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture" is a New York Times bestseller.

He'll be at Mohegan Sun tonight for the Sun's Reality Check series. Cohen will talk and then sign copies of his memoir.

One question he's chatted about before is what makes a good "Housewife." He says: wealth, strength and attitude. With an emphasis, I'm guessing, on the 'tude.

Andy Cohen, tonight, The Shops at Mohegan Sun; free live discussion at 8 p.m. and free signing event at 8:30; participation first-come, first-served; he will only sign "Most Talkative"; the event is bracelet-only, and guests must buy "Most Talkative" at Spin Street after 10 a.m. in order to get a bracelet; mohegansun.com.
