Chamber planning dessert showcase

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is seeking member restaurants, bakeries and caterers interested in taking part in the third annual dessert showcase Aug. 28 on the annual fireworks cruise aboard the M/V Sea Jet 1.

Those interested in participating in the annual showcase should contact the Chamber. The showcase includes a competition with cruise participants voting their favorites in several categories.

The cruise to watch the Mohegan Sun fireworks display leaves the Cross Sound dock in New London at 7:55 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. after the show. Member tickets are $40, non-members, $50.
