The 'gods by the river

Published July 18. 2013 4:00AM

On Saturday in the Hygienic Art Park, The Rivergods headline a fine bill of rock and Americana that includes New Haven acts The Ivory Bills and The Proud Flesh.

The 'gods are putting finishing touches on an EP of new material; their first recordings since 2011's "Signs" album. It should be fun to hear some new samples.

The Proud Flesh released their sophomore album, "Home," in April.

The Ivory Bills are the power trio guise for renowned Elm City songwriter James Velvet.

The Rivergods, 7 p.m. Saturday, Hygienic Art Park, 79 Bank St., New London; $10 recommended donation; (860) 443-8001, therivergods.com.
