Published August 10. 2013 4:00AM

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, which has offices locally in East Lyme, Mystic, Old Lyme and Old Saybrook, has announced a $40,000 donation to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut to support construction of a new hospice facility in Danbury. The donation was made through the company's charitable foundation, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation.

The hospice facility will have 12 private suites for patients, a family kitchen, chapel, library and common areas. The 36,000-square-foot facility is the first free-standing, private-room hospice in the state and will also house the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families.
