LACFA alums head home

If you go to an art school, chances are good you don't have a football team. And if you don't have a football team, there's presumably no homecoming weekend where Old Timers can return and regale newcomers with Tales of Yore!

At the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, though, who needs a homecoming game? From 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, there's an opening reception for the school's 2013 Alumni Reunion and Exhibition. Many of the LACFA alums will present new works of art for the occasion (as with Ronnie Rysz's "Saturation Dive," shown here). The reception is free and open to the public. Through Sept. 28 in the college's Chauncey Stillman Gallery, 84 Lyme St. Old Lyme. Hours 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mon.-Sat.; (860) 434-5232, lymeacademy.edu.
