Screenwriters take to the airwaves

Students from the Town of Groton Parks & Rec Screenwriting Classes will have portions of their works aired over Groton COMCAST Public Access Television (Chan. 12) this month. In a project designed for shooting short segments of their feature scripts and shorter ones, their material was adapted to a studio setting. Under the guidance of Groton Parks & Rec screenwritng instructor Nicholas Checker and Groton Public Access personnel Frank Fachinni and Karen Cummings, students took their training and produced, directed and edited their film segments, which will be aired on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 15, 8 p.m.; Monday, Sept.16, 9 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 19, 9 p.m.; and Monday, Sept. 23, 9 p.m.
