Coast Guard Woodwind Quintet to perform 3 free concerts

New London — The United States Coast Guard Woodwind Quintet will perform three free concerts throughout the state.

The first is at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, in Leamy Concert Hall at the Coast Guard Academy in New London. The quintet will then perform at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Park Congregational Church in Norwich and at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Davidson Hall at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

The program, “Transatlantic Voyage,” journeys from England to France to the United States and back again with works by Malcolm Arnold, Claude Debussy, Samuel Barber and Jean Françaix.
