On Sept. 25, the Builders & Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut, Inc. will host a 2013 Silent Auction to Benefit the L+M Hospital Cancer Center from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Latitude 41 Restaurant in Mystic.

J. Mack Studios, a custom screen-printing, embroidery and promotional products company, has expanded operations with the purchase of a building at 101 Cross St., Westerly.

The company, which began as a small screen printing operation in 2002, has continued to grow at a steady pace. Owner Kevin Adams of Westerly said he named the company after his family members by using the first letter of each member's name.

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut's Montville Division will meet on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 a.m. at Dime Bank in Uncasville. Divisions assist the regional Chamber with identifying and focusing on business-related issues specific to a town or city, and assist with the development of programs and promotion of partnerships to address said issues. The Montville Division specifically contributes to the State of Montville event, the Annual Student Leaders breakfast, and other community outreach efforts throughout the year.

UCFS in Norwich has announced that Dr. Jennifer Varghese will be accepting new patients at The Edward & Mary Lord Family Health Center. Varghese graduated from SUNY Stony Brook and Spartan Health Sciences University. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Wyckoff Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. Varghese is a bilingual (English/Spanish) family practice physician and will be accepting clients of all ages beginning in October.
