The season comes to an end today for the Connecticut Sun and mercifully so.
Connecticut limps to the finish as it will likely have just seven players available to play against the Indiana Fever at Mohegan Sun Arena (1 p.m., CPTV Sports).
The Sun have endured the worst season in franchise history and have the WNBA's worst record (9-24). They've had seven players miss 72 games. Starters Tina Charles, Kelly Faris, Allison Hightower and Kara Lawson have all been shut down for the season due to injuries. Tan White missed Friday's loss to the Washington Mystics due to a broken finger on her left, non-shooting hand and is considered doubtful.
Indiana is in third place, but both it and Washington are 16-17. The defending WNBA champion Fever would earn the No. 3 seed with a win or a Washington loss against New York today.
