Because of our culture's fascination with reality show fame-heads and their tangential idiocy, many otherwise rational folks have become jaded, embarrassed for the human race, and, in some cases, potentially violent.

Comedians are having a field day feasting on these emotions, most notably in terms of material that would have been considered criminally offensive only a few years ago.

In that sense, the world is Anthony Jeselnik's oyster. In person and on his ridiculously funny and appropriately-titled Comedy Central program, "The Jeselnik Offensive," the comic's mission seems to be to make fun of only the most controversial and dark-humor topics in the world. By God, he's wonderful.

On Saturday, Jeselnik brings his stand-up act to the Fox Theater in the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Expect topical and late-breaking material as well as favorites from his two releases, "Caligula" and "Shakespeare."

Anthony Jeselnik,

9 p.m. Saturday, Fox Theater, Foxwoods Resort Casino; $25, $50; 1-800-200-2882, foxwoods.com.
