As the municipal election 2013 approaches we reflect on the initiatives and successes of Bonnie Reemsnyder and Mary Jo Nosal our selectwomen elected in November 2011. I think it fair to say that their performance has been outstanding and that they have won the confidence of the voices of all parties, and expect them to continue their splendid efforts in their new terms.

We are certain in our anticipation of the enthusiasm, integrity and intelligence with which Bonnie and Mary Jo will continue to serve Old Lyme over the next two years. We are also excited about the quality of the party's candidates and energy which will motivate those facing election to town offices and the Board of Education.

They all share the values of Bonnie and Mary Jo, and as their resumes make clear, each of them is a superb candidate for the office he or she seeks.

The qualities of the Democratic candidates, when elected, will strongly benefit the citizens of Old Lyme in the ensuing years.
