People with a flair for solar will be on hand today for the National Solar Tour that includes stops in Connecticut.

The solar-tour home closest to southeastern Connecticut is at 8 Willard St. in Willimantic. Bob Hasenfratz's residence will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.

The American Solar Energy Society has organized the free nationwide tour, which is the largest grassroots solar event in the nation.

In conjunction with the tour, the Clean Energy Investment Authority is launching its GoSolarCT campaign today to build awareness of solar financing opportunities.
