In the editorial, "Blame Boehner's blunders for shutdown," (Oct. 2), The Day continues its policy of vilifying anything the Republican party does, right or wrong.
Really, what is wrong with the latest congressional proposal to make the Affordable Health Care Act apply to everyone, from the president, the Senate and the House on down?
Why does President Obama talk to Iran but refuse to negotiate with the House? It isn't that the House hasn't submitted any proposals, it's that the Democratically controlled Senate even refuses to talk or have a vote on any proposals.
The president can blame the House of Representatives, the Republican Party, the tea party and the right wing whoever, but the buck stops with him.
What we really need now is some leadership from the president, not continuing the blame game. Is George Bush going to get blamed next?
