Coast Guard at Curry

Published October 12. 2013 4:00AM

When: Today, 1 p.m.

Records: Coast Guard (2-3, 2-0 New England Football Conference); Curry (1-3, 1-1)

Last week: Coast Guard defeated Western New England, 41-38; Curry defeated MIT, 26-21

Outlook: The Bears, winless on the road to date, attempt to remain unbeaten in the NEFC nonetheless. Curry, one of the league's stalwarts, snapped a three-game losing streak last week. Coast Guard coach Bill George can become the program's leader in career victories. He tied John Merriman last week. Junior wide receiver Collis Brown broke a pair of school receiving records last week for the Bears with 16 receptions and 244 yards. Curry leads the series 4-0. The last meeting between the two teams was a 44-21 win by the Colonels in 2011. Curry also defeated Coast Guard for the league title and NCAA berth in 2007.
