Unfair sewer policy

Many people who live in the Town of Groton have paid to install and maintain a well and septic system. We are also being taxed to pay for sewers which we couldn't connect to if we wanted to do so.

Now the town wants us to pay more to expand the water system to an area not presently served. This is unfair! If those who own property in the area of the proposed expansion truly want this, a special assessment district should be formed to pay for the project.

Those of us who will not benefit should not be taxed for it. If my well or septic system fails will the town pay the thousands of dollars it will cost to replace it? I think not.

The average American will spend $75.03 on Halloween. How much do you spend?
Much less than that. I make my kids' Halloween costumes and give out cheap candy.
$75.03 barely pays for my kids' masks.
More than $200 because the grownups in the family join in the fun too.
Hand-me-down costumes get us through and we turn off the house lights at 9 p.m.
We go all out. It's our favorite holiday.
