Saints' Sullivan to attend Div. II Mercy

St. Bernard School's Casey Sullivan signed a national letter of intent Wednesday to play college basketball at Mercy College, a Division II school in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

Sullivan is coming off a big junior season. She averaged 17.1 points per game with 58 3-pointers, 222 rebounds, 76 blocked shots, 55 steals and 53 assists.

Sullivan was named to the Connecticut High School Coaches Association all-state team in Class S after earning Eastern Connecticut Conference Small Division first team honors and being named the Saints' Most Valuable Player.

Sullivan holds St. Bernard's single-season record for 3-pointers (62), a mark she established as a sophomore when she averaged 13.2 points per game for the Saints.

My Thanksgiving has been completely taken over by the ever-earlier Black Friday sales. My big meal will be looking more like a fast food burger in line outside of Best Buy than the traditional sit-down meals from days of ole.
