The Governor's Council for Agricultural Development has presented its 2013 findings and recommendations to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
The council's update (available at www.ct.gov) summarizes its second year of work on Grow Connecticut Farms, the strategic plan for Connecticut's $3.5 billion agricultural industry, and includes 12 recommendations.
Agriculture Commissioner Steven K. Reviczky said council members, most of them farmers, helped develop recommendations based on the thoughts of hundreds working in agriculture.
An agricultural town hall meeting is planned at the state Capitol Jan. 29 at which views about other farming issues will be heard.
