How many pizza joints serve Dogfish American Beauty, an imperial pale ale made with organic granola? Or how about BBC Barleywine? Or Narragansett Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout?

The Alevras brothers love their beer, and lucky for us they own a restaurant. Unlike most small restaurants that settle on a handful of beers and stick with them, the brothers change their lineup regularly.

They have a mug club, too, but there's a waiting list longer than the one for Patriots season tickets.

There's so many good choices here I usually order the flight of four 4-ounce glasses. It might look like this: Sixpoint The Crisp, Founders All Day IPA, Grey Sail 2nd Anniversary Ale and Larkin's Dry Irish Stout.

The selection here among the 30 or so taps is outstanding, but what really sets the Barley apart is that every Wednesday they tap a cask-conditioned beer. Cask ales are local, fresh, non-pasteurized, unfiltered and everything that's good about beer.

Mystic Seaport touts itself as the Museum of America and the Sea. The nearby tavern could go by the Museum of the American Craft Beer Movement.

When Alan Pugsley came to this country in the 1990s, he brought with him the famed Ringwood yeast from England. He not only used that yeast when he founded Shipyard Brewing, but he shared it with many other brewers in this country, earning him the moniker of "the Johnny Appleseed of Brewing."

The tavern's taps are almost solely dedicated to Pugsley's ales: Shipyard Monkey Fist IPA, Export Ale, Old Thumper, Double Old Thumper, Brown Ale, Mystic Seaport Pale Ale and Seadog Blueberry.

Order up a pint and toast the master brewer.
