Reuben "Rip" and Lenore Levin of Admiral Drive, New London, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 18, 2013, with family and friends.
They were married in 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., way back in the 20th century.
In honor of the occasion, their children, Monica Levin of San Francisco, and Mark Levin of New London, offered them a trip to any destination they desired. But, they opted for the comforts of home.
The Levins are the former owners of J. Solomon Stationers. Rip took "early" retirement at age 85, but was recently elected President of Ahavath Chesed Synagogue for the third time.
Their advice for a long, happy marriage: love, faith, and counting your blessings.
