Wisniewski collected first-hand accounts of the the '38 hurricane from more than 65 residents of Norwich and the surrounding area, along with personal photographs of the damage, many of which had not been previously published.
"Sto Lat" is the story of Wladyslaw Wisniewski and Dominica Rutkowska who both emigrated from small villages in Poland. They met in Norwich, married, and in 1919 they moved to a 140-acre farm in Preston. where they raised their 10 children. Sto Lat tells of typical farming practices of the day, along with stories of Prohibition, attending one of Preston's one-room school houses, WWII, and how the family maintained their Polish heritage while assimilating into the American way of life.
