Mike Tyson stars in "Undisputed Truth" at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

Mike Tyson, theater star?

Yes, sort of. The boxer has taken the drama of his life - and there's been a lot of it, in the ring and out - and used it as the basis for a one-man stage show.

"Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth" was on Broadway in 2012, and he's bringing the piece to MGM Grand at Foxwoods for a Friday performance.

The show was written by his wife, Kiki Tyson, and directed by Spike Lee. It shares the title with Tyson's memoir "Undisputed Truth," written with Larry Sloman.

The publicity for the show says it's "a rare, personal look inside the life and mind of one of the most feared men ever to wear the heavyweight crown."

Tyson recounts his storied life, from his tough childhood to his being mentored Cus D'Amato to his world championships to his struggle to deal with the accidental death of his 4-year-old daughter.

And, yes, he touches briefly on his more infamous moments: his rape conviction and his biting off part of Evander Holyfield's ear mid-bout.

"Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth," 8 p.m. Friday, MGM Grand at Foxwoods; $30, $55; 1-800-200-2882.

Ralph Lauren has revealed the Team USA Olympic opening ceremony outfits (check them out at www.ralphlauren.com), including a cardigan that is a patriotic patchwork of stars and stripes. What are your thoughts on the look?
I like it. It fits the world stage setting of the opening ceremony.
It's awful. It looks like an ugly Christmas sweater meets 4th of July.
At least all of the materials are from the US rather than from China like the 2012 outfits.
I'm more concerned with the safety at the Olympics than with what the athletes will be wearing.
