Citizens gives $15,000 grant to Capital Good Fund

Published March 09. 2014 4:00AM

Citizens Bank recently gave The Capital Good Fund a $15,000 grant to support its expansion into New London County.

A portion the grant will support The Capital Good Fund's free tax preparation for qualifying individuals who make less than $50,000 a year. Citizens Bank colleagues also will volunteer their time to serve as tax preparers.

Citizens Bank colleague volunteers will be trained to serve as volunteer tax preparers as part of the Capital Good Funds IRS sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. The VITA sites will be located at Otis Library in Norwich and Cragin Memorial Library in Colchester.

Visit taxes.capitalgoodfund.org for more information on VITA site locations' dates and hours.
