Tourism outreach meeting Wednesday in Mystic

Published March 12. 2014 4:00AM

The state Office of Tourism will host five tourism marketing outreach meetings this week, including one from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today at the Mystic Marriott in Groton.

The meetings with representatives of the tourism industry will focus on Connecticut Tourism's marketing team, findings from new marketing research and cooperative marketing opportunities. A planning session will enable industry partners to comment on the state's strategic marketing plan and the "still revolutionary" campaign, and special guest presenter Sue Norrington-Davies, executive director of Discover New England, will discuss how to attract international visitors.

Discover New England's tourism summit is scheduled for May 19-21.
