The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Lower Connecticut Valley Branch holds its annual book author luncheon on Saturday, March 29 at 11:30 am at Saybrook Point Inn, 2 Bridge Street, Old Saybrook. Authors include Gina Barreca, professor of English and feminist theory at the University of Connecticut and writer of many humorous books, who is also known for her appearances on 20/20, NPR, and CNN; and Amy Bloom, who has written two novels and three short story collections. She has been a nominee for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the National Book Award. In addition to the authors' talks, there will be a silent auction, luncheon, and book signings.
