Renovations bring update to whaler’s inn

Published March 15. 2014 4:00AM

The Whaler's Inn in Mystic has undergone a major room renovation project to create modern subway tiled bathrooms with large pedestal sinks and generous walk-in showers.

"We were able to update these rooms for a more modern feel while still keeping the intimate 'inn' aspect," said innkeeper Richard Prisby.

The inn, composed of five buildings on the corner of East Main and Cottrell Streets, is inviting residents to stop by for a tour. Guests at the Stonington House, built in the 1970s, will be greeted by wall-mounted flat screen televisions and other updated modern amenities.
