UPDATED: Police identify man struck by a car on Route 32 in Montville

Montville — A 67-year-old man was injured Thursday night when he was struck by car on Route 32 in the area of Cedar Lane.

State police said that Huan Wu of New York, N.Y., was walking in the area when he was struck by a car traveling south on Route 32. The driver of the car, Christina Rivera, 34, of 71 Ohio Ave., Groton, was not injured. The accident was reported at 9:07 p.m.

Wu was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital for a leg injury. A hospital official said Wu was not listed as a patient there. His condition is not known.

Police said the accident remains under investigation.
