You ever heard an insensitive clod disparage someone's else's painting by saying, "That looks like it was done by a third grader!"? Well, check out the art works done by the third- and fifth-grade students in the Pine Point School Art Show. You only wish you could draw like this, Mr. Adult Cretin! The themes of the show are bipartite according to class. Third graders painted animals (see "Pig," by Estelle Lord, shown above), while fifth graders created abstract landscapes in complimentary colors.

The show, which takes place in the Back Room Gallery of the Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, kicks off with an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit runs through June 1; 7 Canal St., Westerly. (401) 596-2221, westerlyarts.com.
