Coast Guard Academy's Jessie Richardson has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Assocation Division III All-American team.

The junior catcher was named to the third team as an at-large selection. Richardson was named a first team All-New England selection last week, a week after being named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference first team.

Richardson led the NEWMAC in batting average (.481), doubles (14) and RBI (34) and ranked in the top 10 in the following categories: hits (50, 2nd), runs (28, 10th), triples (2, 7th), total bases (71, 6th), sacrifice flies (3, 2nd), stolen bases (8, 8th), on-base percentage (.517, 2nd) and slugging average (.683, 3rd).

Defensively, she had a .982 fielding percentage (she also played second base and left field) and threw out eight of 21 baserunners (second in the NEWMAC).
