New London shooting leaves victim with injuries that are not life-threatening

New London — City police continue to investigate a shooting late Thursday that left one man with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

At 11:27 p.m. Thursday, police received 911 calls for reports of gunfire in the area of Alger Street and Riverview Avenue. Officers found one shooting victim, who was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. Police did not release the victim’s name. The shooter has yet to be identified.
