Drug testing seminar for employees

Published June 07. 2014 4:00AM

What is pre-employment drug testing? What is reasonable suspicion drug testing?

These and other questions will be answered June 27 during a state Department of Labor seminar in Wethersfield. Titled "Drug Testing in Connecticut: Are You Confused Yet?", the seminar will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the agency's central office.

A pre-registration fee of $25 is due by June 19 and with a registration form found at www.ct.gov/dol. Completed registrations and checks should be sent to Susan Devito, Connecticut Department of Labor, 200 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, CT 06109.

For information, email susan.devito@ct.gov or call (860) 263-6757.

What are your feelings about the swap of Taliban detainees for Army Sgt. Bergdahl?
It was the right thing to do. No soldier should be left behind. Period.
I thought our policy was to not negotiate with terrorist groups.
I initially supported the swap, but as more details have become available, I am not so sure now.
Absolutely not worth it, especially if the reports are true that soldiers died looking for Sergeant Bergdahl after senior American military officials say he wandered off his base.
