Linda Lavin is best known as an actress - for Broadway performances such as her Tony-winning turn in "Broadway Bound" and for TV turns like her starring role in the comedy "Alice." She is also, though, a singer, as she shows to fine form in "Possibilities" - a concert that The New York Times gave a rave review last year. She brings to the show to the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook tonight.

Performing with her are her musical director and pianist Billy Stritch and her husband and drummer Steve Bakunas. Lavin dips into "The Boy From ... ," a parody of "The Girl From Ipanema" that Lavin sang in Broadway's "The Mad Show," as well as such classics as "Just One of Those Things" and "Long Ago and Far Away."

Linda Lavin, 7:30 tonight, Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook; $65; 1-877-503-1286.

Hillary Clinton has been busy lately, promoting her book and drawing hefty speaking fees elsewhere, amid speculation as to whether she’ll run for president. How electable is Hillary Clinton?
Very. She’s smart, connected, and she knows the political game inside and out.
Somewhat. She’s qualified but her turn as first lady and secretary of state turned off a lot of people.
Not at all. Many people, like me, aren’t interested in a female president.
Not so much. She and her husband are way too liberal.
Undoubtedly. Women will make this happen at the polls.
