New London — A female motorcyclist who was pulling out of the Mike’s Famous Harley-Davidson store on Bank Street Saturday afternoon died after her motorcycle collided with a commercial box truck, police said.

The 52-year-old motorcyclist’s name is being withheld pending notification of her family.

Police said the preliminary investigation shows the motorcyclist was planning on turning right out of Mike's Famous, at 951 Bank St., onto the westbound lane of Bank Street (Route 1). Instead, she crossed the double yellow line and struck a box truck on the eastbound lane. The accident was reported at 1:14 p.m.

The woman, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at 1:29 p.m., police said.

Bank Street between Carroll Court and Beckwith Street remains closed to traffic while accident reconstructionists from the New London Police Department investigate the crash. The road is expected to remain closed into the evening hours.

Not likely. They are 9 games under .500 and eight games out of the second wild-card spot. That's a lot to make up.
Maybe, but only if they can upgrade their inconsistent offense.
Yes. You've got to believe!
