Granite Theatre presents reading of new musical

The Granite Theatre presents the first public reading of "The Road of Life," a new musical by composer Jay Jacques and lyricist Mark Chimsky, on Tuesday, July 29, as part of the Guest Artists Series. The reading begins at 7:30 p.m., and there will be a question and answer period following the show.

"The Road of Life" is set in the Russian city of Leningrad when it was under siege by the German army during World War II. The story focuses on a love triangle between a female Russian poet, the soldier who loves her and the Nazi who is assigned to capture and kill her but finds himself falling in love with her.
