Military Affairs Council to meet Aug. 6 in Waterford

The Military Affairs Council, which links active duty military leaders and local businesses, will hold a meeting from 8 to 9 a.m. Aug. 6 at the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Inc. in Waterford.

The council plans its annual Military Appreciation Breakfast each fall and other events that connect businesses to military service people. To attend a meeting or join the council, contact Ashlee Donovan at adonovan@chamberECT.com.

The council also is seeking nominations for its annual Military Community Support Award, which recognizes a chamber business for its contributions to the military community. The winner will be recognized at the 5th annual Military Appreciation Breakfast this fall.
