New London — A motorcycle versus car accident on Montauk Avenue Tuesday resulted in minor injuries for both the driver and biker, according to New London Police Capt. Steven Crowley.

New London Fire Battalion Chief Keith Nichols said the accident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. The accident occurred at 21 Montauk Ave., the location of the Nameaug School building, according to Crowley.

Valerie Kent, 55, of Old Mill Road, Quaker Hill, pulled out in her car in front of motorcyclist Ray Gorman, 49, of 26 Dell Ave., New London, when his motorcycle hit her car.

Kent and Gorman were both taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, according to Crowley. He said Kent was released immediately and Gorman a few hours later, following treatment.

Kent did not have any passengers, Crowley said.
