All About Water VII is the current exhibition at GalleryONE. This annual look at the subject of water was begun by the Tracy Art Center in 2005. The show presents a wide variety of the work of area artists describing, visually and emotionally, the fluid world running through, within and around us.
A reception for the presentation of awards and the honoring of Nancy Tracy, founder of the Tracy Art Center, will be held on Sunday October 16 and is open to the public.

The Friends of Otis Library will hold their semi-annual book sale on Friday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and on Sunday, October 16, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be an early bird preview on Friday, October 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for a fee of $10. Answer some :Wizard of Oz" trivia questions as you follow the yellow brick road to Emerald City and eventually back home to a farm in Kansas (well, its really a farm in Foster, R.I. - but you get the picture). While you are there, take our free tractor ride, come pick your pumpkins and squash, and have a pony ride.

Don’t miss Make Your Own Scarecrow at Bishop’s Orchards. The family event takes place every Saturday and Sunday in October as well as Columbus Day, from 10-5. It includes face-painting, glitter tattoos, and a free cupcake with each scarecrow! Proceeds support the CDR, a not-for-profit serving over 4,000 meals/month. Direct from the Althorp Estate in England comes an award-winning exhibition featuring more than 150 personal objects celebrating the life and work of Diana, Princess of Wales, including her royal wedding gown, 28 designer dresses, family heirlooms, personal mementos, and rare home movies. This will be the only Northeastern engagement.
