The Mystic Arts Center (MAC) opens their Annual Members Show featuring a solo sculpture exhibit by artist Gil Boro.
The Annual Members Show features a variety of creative artwork in all mediums from Mystic Arts Center members.
Gilbert V. Boro is a sculptor, architect and international design consultant. Boro's work has earned numerous awards over the years and has been exhibited in galleries, art centers, public art venues and private collections in the U.S. and Europe.

GalleryONE's new exhibit is titled "Passages" In this show GalleryONE artists' choices of paintings and sculptures with accompanying personal statements illustrate and explain the passage of time and ideas through their work. Last fall saw the hauling ashore of the mighty Charles W. Morgan in the Museum's Henry B. duPont Preservation Shipyard for a planned three-year restoration. Climb aboard the world's last wooden whaleship and learn more about the unprecedented restoration of this American icon in the Shipyard Gallery's newest exhibit, Restoring an Icon: The Charles W. Morgan.

The Old Saybrook Fire Department's Junior Division is pleased to host several upcoming Sunday pancake breakfasts featuring eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, coffee, tea and juice, with the first breakfast scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 22, from 8 a.m. to noon at fire headquarters.
The pancake-and-breakfast is $5 per person. The funds assist the OSFD's Junior (high-school age) Division. Other Sunday morning breakfasts will be hosted on: Feb. 5, Feb 19 and March 4.
All of the breakfasts will be at the Old Saybrook Fire Department headquarters, 310 Main St.
In case of inclement weather (snow/ice storm) please check the OSFD's website at www.oldsaybrookfire.com for any cancellations or call 860.857.5300.
During the morning breakfasts, the OSFD juniors will offer escorted tours of the fire HQ
