Travel and vacation scenes by member artists, as well as a special exhibition by the prestigious Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists in the Goodman Gallery. A special exhibition of charcoal, pencil and pen and ink drawings by member artists will also be on display. Opening Reception: Friday, March 9, 6 - 8pm.

“Contemporary Art from the Latin World”

An exhibit of items in the permanent collection of the Latin Network for the Visual Arts, a local nonprofit organization that seeks to enrich the community through exposure to contemporary art from countries where Romance languages are spoken. This diverse exhibition features paintings, photography and sculpture from artists in Spain, Cuba, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Peru. There will be a talk and reception on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 4:15 p.m. The exhibit is sponsored by the Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity and the Department of History.

"Winter at the Shore" Art Show

Studio 33 presents “Winter on the Shore”, a collective group of area artist’s work-photography, oils, watercolors, mixed media and acrylics. The exhibition includes the work of the late Robert Hauschild – lighthouses on bricks and lighthouse watercolors. This show runs through March 21.

Bring your winter spirit and join us aboard RiverQuest as we cruise the lower Connecticut River in search of eagles, hawks, ducks, seals, and other winter wildlife. RiverQuest has a heated, enclosed cabin; dress warmly so you can enjoy the beauty and solitude of the river on our open decks. Listen and observe as seasoned, experienced naturalists identify our local wildlife and other points of interest. Bring your binoculars or borrow ours. Complimentary coffee/tea.
