The Bison: An American Icon

The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat was proud to launch the Roaring 20's year theme on Saturday, June 14th in conjunction with the Connecticut Office of Tourism's 10th annual Connecticut Open House Day.

Throughout the day, attendees will step back in time upon entering the station, and will experience an era themed authentic car show (six parked vehicles), meet characters from the decade, take a journey on the train, and much, much more! There are endless photo opportunities throughout the day including relaxing in an authentic living room, posing with Roaring 20's characters, and taking a ride aboard the locomotive.

On Tuesday, July 1st, Playhouse on Park will hold a master class called Acting a Song from 7 pm to 9 pm. The goal of this class will be to guide students to improve their performance of a musical theatre song. The guest instructor for this class will be Janelle Robinson. class is for students ages 16 through adult.
