"Good News"

Youthful energy abounds in this signature Goodspeed musical filled with Roaring 20s nostalgia, plenty of laughter and rousing dance numbers. Anticipation builds on the Tait College campus as game day approaches but the football hero must first pass a big exam in order to play. When he unexpectedly falls for his tutor, romance blooms and hijinks ensue. With songs like “You’re the Cream in My Coffee,” “The Varsity Drag,” and “Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries,” it’s fun for everyone!

Art As Muse

The East Haddam Stage Company stages its newest production “Art as Muse,” a 90-minute variety show, May 16-19 at the Hadlyme Public Hall.
Six actors portray numerous characters in poems, monologues and mini-scenes written by playwrights and poets from across the country, specifically inspired by the abstract photographic art of George Fellner.
A portion of the proceeds goes to the Hadlyme Public Hall Association which is partnering with the East Haddam Stage Company for the first time. A talk-back with Fellner will follow every show.
Productions are 7:30 p.m. Thur., 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., 2 p.m. Sat. and Sun. and 7 p.m. Sun.. Seating is limited. Tickets are $20 and $15 for seniors. Reservations are suggested by calling (860) 873-3521.
