Evergreen Woods hosted a Broadway Day Signature Experience for residents on June 13. Residents were provided a day full of Broadway performers, producers, and industry experts who immersed them in everything Broadway.

“Each month we focus on a theme and build that theme into a day of food, fitness, and fun for our residents. Having the actors, producers, who have experience on Broadway made the day very special for all those who attended,” said Evergreen Woods Social Director Irene Gonzalez.

Attendees started the day with a New York Minute to Win It workout joined by local childcare center Wee Care as a part of their Joining Older and Younger Program. During lunch, Tom Lewy spoke on the history of Broadway and Oklahoma! followed by a panel with Broadway producer Van Dean and actor Justin Sargent. Sargent, who starred in Rock of Ages and Bonnie and Clyde, performed at the piano with Executive Director Blair Quasnitschka during happy hour before the night ended with a Tony Awards-inspired dinner and a performance by The Tuxedo Junction.
