Felon Arrested in North Haven for Threatening Co-worker with Handgun
North Haven police have arrested a convicted felon for allegedly brandishing a firearm at a co-worker during a workplace dispute. Duane Woodard, 52, faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm, threatening, carrying without a permit, having a weapon in a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. According to the North Haven Police Department, a manager a Bozzutos Distributors, 400 North Frontage Road, called 911 Jan. 14 at 6:09 p.m. to report that two employees were involved in a verbal dispute earlier, and that one of the employees, Woodard, had returned to the building armed with handgun. According to the report, Woodard confronted the other employee with whom he had the earlier dispute with, and brandished the handgun. That employee fled the area, and Woodard was coaxed by other employees to leave the building.
Officers arriving on scene were able to stop Woodard’s vehicle as he attempted to drive off the property. A Glock 43 handgun was recovered from the vehicle. Woodard, a convicted felon, is currently being processed to be held on a $250,000 bond.
