The Hand-Coginchaug-Valley Regional-Old Lyme girls' ice hockey team started its season by facing Amity-North Haven-Cheshire for a home game last week. The Tigers took a 6-2 loss to the Blades at Northford Ice Pavilion on Dec. 14. Valley Regional joins Hand, Coginchaug, and Old Lyme as members of the co-op squad this winter.
