Hand Football Alums Help Middlebury Win NESCAC Title

Former Hand football players Nick Leone and Macken McDonald were members of the Middlebury College team that won the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship by going 9-0 during the 2019 season. Leone, a junior, plays defensive end for Middlebury. McDonald, a freshman, is a nose tackle on the squad. Middlebury became the first team in NESCAC history to finish with a record of 9-0 last fall. The Panthers won the NESCAC title when they claimed 32-24 victory against Tufts in their season finale on Nov. 9. Middlebury College is a Division III school located in Middlebury, Vermont.
